How to install introspect and get it running
Installing Introspect (requirements .net 2.0)
- Download Introspect
- Unzip installation file to a local drive
- Run setup.exe

Configuring Configuration Reports
- Install the MFCOM SDK that matches your citrix environment 4.5 , 4.0 or earlier register it with a remote server you want to gather information from.
- Configure DCOM settings as described in this document. Configuration Setup Document
- In introspect right click on Configuration Databases and select Create new database...
- Select the MFCOM version and the citrix server you want to connect to, your farm name should be autopopulated in the list.
- Create and then process the database
Configuring Historical Usage Reports
- Citrix must be Enterprise or Platinum Edition running Resource Manager
- Microsoft Analysis Services must be installed locally or on a remote server for Analysis Services 2000 / 2005 with latest service pack. Analysis Services is included free with Microsoft SQL Server but not usually installed by default.
- In Introspect Management Console, right click on Usage Databases select Create New Database...
- Select your Analysis Service version (2000 or 2005).
- Enter the name of the server that has Analysis Services Installed (we do not neeed the Resorce Manager information yet).
- Enter a new name for the database. This database is going to be created for you.
- Enter a display name. This is how it will appear in Introspect.
- Click the Test Connection Button.
- If connection to Analysis Services was successfull then click the create button. This will prompt you for your Resource Manager information
- Enter the Server Name , SQL credentials or Use Windows Login (will use Introspect Service Account "Access Tracking Manager" Service) and enter the RM Summary Database name.
- Click Save
- Process the database. This may take some time so consider processing it using the scheduler overnight) .
- Save all changes
